The Marine Base at Parris Island employed Balanced Flow™
to improve distribution of clothing to recruits.
In less than two years, Balanced Flow reduced recruit clothing inventories
from $12 million to $1.2 million while reducing stock outages from 15%
(greater than 4% is considered critical) to almost zero. Also,
it eliminated the need for a local wholesale inventory.
